Do you Fondue?
Imagine your next cookout with a BBQ fondue fountain surrounded by grilled beef and chicken skewers. Or maybe a wedding reception with a vegetable crudité display and a ranch dressing fountain. Or, our personal favorite, a birthday party with a nacho cheese fountain as the centerpiece for your nacho bar. The options are endless!
See below for answers to our most commonly asked questions.
Nacho Cheese Fountain FAQ
What ingredients do I need?
You will need to purchase a #10 can (6 lbs 10 oz) of nacho cheese and a 32 oz carton of chicken broth. Condensed nacho cheese will not work in the fountain. You must purchase regular, ready to serve nacho cheese. These ingredients can be purchased at Kroger or Wal-Mart.
How do I warm the cheese?
Combine 6lb 11oz can of nacho cheese and a 32 oz carton of chicken broth in a crock-pot. Heat thoroughly and pour into your fountain.
Ranch Fountain FAQ
How much Ranch Dressing do I need?
You will need a minimum of 64 ounces of Ranch Dressing for the fountain to flow properly. For larger events, you may consider buying a few more bottles to refill. Generally speaking, you may need around 1/2 ounce to 1 ounce per person.
This is the simplest of all fountain options. Just pour the dressing in and turn on the fountain!
Chocolate Fountain FAQ
What type of chocolate should I get?
We recommend buying Wilton Chocolate Pro Chocolate Melting Wafers. You can purchase these at Wal-Mart. These particular chocolates can be melted in their bag in the microwave, which makes for very easy clean up!
If you purchase another brand of fondue fountain chocolate, you can still melt in the microwave, but you will need to transfer the chocolate from the bag to a microwave safe bowl.
Please note, you cannot use regular baking chocolate or chocolate chips in a fondue fountain. They are too thick, will not flow and will damage the motor. Only use chocolate specifically made for fondue fountains.
How much chocolate do I need?
The fountain runs on a minimum of 4 pounds (two 2lb bags) of fountain chocolate. Here are the quantities we recommend by guest count:
0-20 Guests: 4lbs
20-50 Guests: 8lbs
50-100 Guests: 12lbs
